Stan Phelps believes the longest and hardest 9 inches in marketing . . . is the distance between the brain and the heart of your customer. Successfully making that journey is his holy grail. His mission is to change the paradigm of marketing. Focus on employees and the customer experience, instead of the chasing the prospect. Drive value and give little unexpected extras (glue) through a concept called marketing lagniappe.

Today, Stan works with Synergy Events as Chief Solutions Officer. He takes a wide look at marketing with the premise of finding unique ways to engage customers. He has worked with industry leading brands such as M&M’s, Reebok, Starbucks, Wells Fargo, KFC, Old Spice and Crest.

In January, Stan published his first book in a trilogy called, “What’s Your Purple Goldfish?” Stan’s ideas have recently expanded to include the Green Goldfish Project, helping senior leaders understand the value for creating signature moments and extras for employees.

Stan received a B.S. in marketing from Marist College and a J.D./M.B.A. from Villanova University. He lives in Norwalk, Connecticut with his wife Jennifer and their two boys, Thomas and James.
